I picked up a Steamfast canister to try out and was impressed.  The leather seats on my 98 Corvette are a light gray, but falling apart, so i never really did much with them,  The C5 Corvette interior is infamous for lousy, cheap leather. 
I just did a single strip across the bottom cushion and there a definite difference in color.  The steam really did a decent job on getting out the ground in dirt.
I am a fan!!!

This makes me wish I would have kept my unit because maybe I was using it wrong. I used the triangular attatchment with a towel wrapped around and was not impressed. I paid about 800 for a daimer unit a while back, I was unimpressed with its ability to clean in detail, sure you could clean a large surface, but you would still need to go back and scrub the areas like leather seams and parts the brush would not reach, at that point I said to myself I could just continue to use the mild APC Ive been using this whole time and clean, and clean it once and not waste time.

I suppose thats why there is training for the tool, was I missing something?

I used the triangle, with a very tight, short napped MF towel wrapped around it.  I would blast the steam out for a few seconds and slowly run the hot towel over the area I was trying to clean.
I beleive the short. tight weave of the MF towel was instrumental in getting down and "scrubbing" the dirt out.
Had a 98 Camaro in the shop and I swear the interior had never been cleaned since the car was built.  The steam really did an incredible job on the door panels, but the seats really had ground in dirt.  I used some Zaino Z-9 and a mild scrub brush to try and loosen up the dirt and it helped, then I used the steam with a fresh tight weave, short nap MF towel and it made a difference , but it was not as dramatic as I was hoping.
The customer went ballistic and said not in her wildest dreams did she expect the car to look so good!!!

What a difference five years makes. Looking at this post vs. post just a few years back tells how how far we have come and are heading.
